This immaculate example of one of BMW’s most iconic M cars is presented in gleaming Estoril Blue Metallic with a silver-grey cloth (‘Amaretta Hurricane’) and Alcantara Vader interior.
If you are reading this advert, then it is highly likely you already know a thing or two about these rare and wonderful cars. Very much from a time when BMW were seen to be at the peak of engineering and the M power range set standard for a daily usable performance vehicle.
Having covered just 72,000 miles from new, stepping into the cabin is like being transported back to the 90’s. Pop ‘Spaceman’ by Babylon Zoo in the CD player and you could be there! Having covered an average of under 3000 miles a year since it left the showroom, the feel of the controls and the general condition of the interior is close to ‘as new’ as you could expect.
It should be noted that this is one of the very first Evolution models produced (Number 007, as is shown by the EA88007 VIN number) and as such benefits from lightweight aluminium doors which were used on the earlier Evo models and saved in the region of 8kg in weight per door. A letter from BMW Car Club of Great Britain is present in the history confIrming this.
Having had only 4 previous owners, the current owner has kept it as a ‘garage queen’ for the past 6 years. Prior to his ownership this car was in storage for around 10 years. As such it has completed in the region of just 1000 miles in the past 18 years.
The only modification, which was added recently, is a high quality Eisenmann stainless steel exhaust (2 x 70mm straight exit pipes, to look as standard as possible). This adds a wonderful tone to the 321bhp straight six engine and upon driving it certainly feels like all those horses are still very much present and correct. The original BMW exhaust is also included in the sale if required.
As you can hopefully see, the bodywork is also in extremely good condition. For a car that is 28 years old this year it is as close to immaculate as you could expect. There is no rust on the car and the arches, which can often be an issue on the E36 are in great shape.

The car was stored between 2008 and 2017, when it was recommissioned and sold to the current owner by prestige specialist, 1BR Cars in Hampshire.
Upon purchase by the current owner, the car was taken to Cooper BMW Tunbridge Wells to be given a thorough check over and a number of cosmetic and mechanical updates were completed, to make this already excellent condition car as good as it could possibly be.
Evidence of all work completed, old MOT’s etc is available to be viewed in a large lever arch folder.
